EU imposes definitive AD duty on imports of certain iron and steel fasteners from China

On November 9, 2007, the European Commission (EC) initiated an antidumping proceeding concerning the imports of certain iron and steel fasteners from China. Given the need to further examine certain aspects of the investigation, it was decided to continue the investigation without the imposition of provisional measures on imports of certain products in question.

On August 4, 2008, all interested parties were provided the detailed preliminary findings of the investigation and invited to comment on those findings. A total of 120 companies or groups of companies in China came forward and provided the requested information

The investigation of dumping and injury covered the period from October, 1, 2006 through September, 30, 2007. With respect to the trends relevant for the injury assessment, data covering the period from January 1, 2003 to the end of the investigation period was analyzed. The product concerned is normally declared within CN codes 7318.12.90, 7318.14.91, 7318.14.99, 7318.15.59, 7318.15.69, 7318.15.81, 7318.15.89, ex 7318.15.90, ex 7318.21.00, and ex 7318.22.00.
