EU Council refuses to implement new AD duties on HRC

The long-lasting discussions over the anti-dumping duty proposal by the EU Council have finally been completed. It appears that the proposal has been rejected with the voting resulting against such duties and consequently no implementation of new anti-dumping duties will take place on HRC imports from Bulgaria, Turkey, Slovakia, South Africa and Egypt. As the case is dropped, no duties exist for the above referenced countries with the exception of South Africa which is currently subject to a 5.2% duty for this specific material.
