ESTAR completes pipe mill installation at NMZK

Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR) has confirmed to SteelOrbis that it has completed the installation of a new pipe mill "10-50" at its subsidiary Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin (NMZK). 

The new mill will be specialized in the production of pipes for water pipelines and also electro-welded pipes in 20 x 20 mm and 40 x 20 mm sizes with wall thickness of 1.0 to 2.5 mm.

The new pipe producing mill "10-50" was supplied by Italian firm Mills with packing equipment produced by Italian company MAIR. The seam welding equipment was supplied by German firm Ideal and the high-frequency welded equipment came from UK-based Termatul.

The new mill's maximum speed for pipe welding is 150 m/min.
