The European Commission (EC) has initiated an antidumping investigation regarding certain tube and pipe fittings of iron or steel with an external diameter of up to 609.6 mm, from Turkey and Russia.

According to the complaint filed by the Defense Committee of the Steel Butt-Welding Fittings Industry of the European Union, there is evidence "that imports of the product subject to investigation from Turkey and Russia have increased in terms of market share and imports from Russia have increased overall in absolute terms."

The EC will determine whether the products subject to investigation have been dumped and whether this dumping has caused material injury to the industry in the European Union. Final results will be issued within 15 months; on the other hand, preliminary measures might be imposed within nine months.
