DOC amends final results of CVD review iron castings from India

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) amended final results of a countervailing duty review on certain iron-metal castings from India. On June 16, 2005, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) sustained the DOC's July 9, 2004, final results of redetermination on remand, which pertains to certain iron-metal castings from India. Since all litigation in this matter has concluded, the DOC published amended final results for iron-metal castings from Indian producer Calcutta Ferrous, in accordance with the ITC decision. Accordingly, the revised countervailing duty rate of 9.25 percent will be effective as of July 20, 2005. A 9.25 percent ad valorem duty on imports of subject merchandise from Calcutta Ferrous will be assessed on or after January 1, 1997 through December 1997.
