Demand in Germany’s building construction keeps rising

As reported by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the total price-adjusted value of orders received by building construction and civil and underground engineering enterprises in Germany increased by 2.1 percent in March this year from the same month of the previous year.

In March, building construction demand increased by 5.8 percent, while demand in civil and underground engineering declined by 1.6 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In February, building construction demand had increased by 14.5 percent, while underground engineering had decreased by 11.2 percent, compared to February 2010.
