Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a new roller hearth furnace to Mexican pipe producer Tenaris Tamsa for the heat treatment of carbon steel tubes in a protective atmosphere.

With the new equipment, Tenaris Tamsa will process a wide size range of tubes (15-120 mm diameter and 3-16 m lengths) using different treatments, such as normalizing and tempering, ensuring low fuel consumption and low environmental pollution. The production capacity of the new roller hearth furnace will be 24,000 mt of tubes per year. The new furnace will be installed in Tenaris Tamsa’s Veracruz plant in Mexico by January 2018.
