Danieli mulls construction of new plant in Chelyabinsk, Russia

Italian plantmaker Danieli is considering building a plant in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia for the production of equipment for the metallurgical industry, as reported by the Italian language website Russia Oggi. Total investments are expected to amount to €50 million.

Franco Alzetta, Danieli‘s chief operating officer, explained his company's interest in the Chelyabinsk region saying that metallurgical companies including Danieli's clients are abundant in this region and the surrounding areas. "In addition, we hope to attract new clients," he continued Mr. Alzetta, adding, "At first we plan to create a new technical support center, and, in case of favorable conditions, we shall build the equipment manufacturing plant,"
