CVS Makine to complete construction of Egyptian steelworks in early 2011

CVS Makine, Turkey's only engineering and plantmaking company for the iron and steel sector, has announced that it has completed the design and manufacturing of the equipment ordered by Taybah Steel, which is currently being built in Gamasa, Egypt.
  
CVS Makine said in a statement that, according to a contract signed between the two sides, it has supplied an electric arc furnace (EAF), a material feeding system, a ladle furnace, a four-line continuous billet caster, a dust collecting system and a meltshop for the company.
 
The Turkish engineering company pointed out that the installation of the continuous billet caster and the other meltshop equipment is still in process, while the other equipment items have already been installed.
 
Taybah Steel's plant, which will have an annual capacity of 500,000 mt, is planned to be commissioned in early 2011.
