CSC’s steel sales down 10 percent in July from June

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in July this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by 10 percent to 858,893 metric tons compared to June, accounting for 67 percent of domestic sales. During the first seven months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 6.45 million mt, accounting for 69 percent of domestic sales.
 
In July, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 24.49 billion ($780 million), down by 1.88 percent month on month. In the given month, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 3.18 billion ($101.5 million), increasing by 15.5 percent compared to the previous month.
