CSC’s carbon steel sales down slightly in July from June

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in July this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 801,789 metric tons, decreasing by a slight margin compared to June and accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. In the first seven months of the current year, the company sold 5.6 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales.
 
In July, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 30.64 billion ($1.02 billion), increasing by one percent month on month. In the first seven months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 215.22 billion ($7.18 billion). In July, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.74 billion ($90.4 million), increasing by 17 percent compared to June.
