CSC’s carbon steel sales down in November from October

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in November this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 723,271 metric tons, down 15.2 percent compared to October, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. In the first 11 months of the current year, the company sold 8.72 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales.

In November, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 28.6 billion ($967.6 million), down 3.67 percent month on month. In the first eleven months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 318.7 billion ($10.8 billion). In November, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 1.73 billion ($58.53 million), falling 23.1 percent compared to October.
