The new tandem mill and the new HDG line will enable Corus to expand its product range for the automotive and construction industries, and will also include the production of Advanced High-Strength Steels (AHSS). The new installations are scheduled to come on stream in mid-2008. The Corus Group operates an integrated steelworks with an annual capacity of 6.9 million tons of liquid steel at IJmuiden, The Netherlands.
