Corus announces price hike for strip products

Corus Strip Products UK, a division of Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus, announced price hike for its strip products in the UK effective in the second quarter of 2006. The price increase, which will be 5-7 percent, will cover hot rolled, cold rolled and coated steel products as of April 2, 2006. The increase will be £20/mt for hot rolled and cold rolled products, and £25/mt for coated materials. A Corus spokesperson indicated that the price increases are a result of rising costs.
