France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) has announced that the situation in French industry was nearly stable in June compared to May, according to a survey carried out among French business leaders, with the industrial business climate indicator increasing by just one point in June compared to May but remaining below the long-term average.
Looking at the outlook for their own individual production, French business leaders consider that the production outlook is stable but below the long-term average in the French manufacturing industry. The general production outlook, which represents business leaders' opinion on French industry as a whole, remained at a very low level, in spite of a slight improvement. Export and total order books in June remained almost at their May levels but were below the long-term average.
