Cliffs signs new labor contract for Pointe Noire operation

US-based Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. has announced that it has reached an agreement with the United Steelworkers Union for a new six-year labor contract that will cover approximately 229 represented workers at Cliffs' Pointe Noire operation in Quebec, Canada.

The agreement has been ratified by United Steelworkers local union memberships. 

Cliffs said that the new labor contract provides the company with a competitive cost structure for future success.
