Civil construction costs in Buenos Aires increase in July

The cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires area rose 1.3 percent in July, month-on-month, according to data from the nation’s statistics agency, Indec.

The cost of civil construction materials in the period increased 2 percent, month-on-month, while the cost of workforce as well as general expenses rose by 0.9 and 0.8 percent, respectively.

Indec said rebar cost in July rose 3.4 percent, month-on-month, and 16.1 percent, year-on-year.

According to Indec, the cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires rose 18.9 percent in July, year-on-year.  Materials, workforce and general expenses costs improved 22.3, 16.6 and 20.1 percent, year-on-year, respectively.
