Civil construction activity in Brazil improves in April

Brazilian civil construction activity in April rose to 43.3 points in April this year from 36.4 points in April 2016, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, the said the country’s confederation of industries, CNI.
 
Despite the year-on-year increase, the local civil construction activity in April fell in the month-on-month analysis, from 44.5 points in March. 
 
The utilization of the industry’s capacity in April slightly grew to 56 percent, from 54 percent in April 2016, but remained stable from March.
 
The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the segment improved to 42.3 points in April this year, from 35.7 points in April 2016, and from 41.7 points in March.
