CISA mills' average daily crude steel output down 5.1% in early March

On March 18, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in early March (March 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.682 million mt, down 5.1 percent compared to late February (February 21-28). 

According to the CISA's previous figures, in late February this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.711 million mt, up 8.15 percent from mid-February (February 11-20).

Meanwhile, as of March 10, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 17.365 million mt, up 1.4 percent as compared to the figure recorded on February 28.
