CISA members' average daily crude steel output down 2.8% in late July

On August 7, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in late July (July 21-31) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.7577 million mt, down 2.8 percent compared to mid-July (July 11-20). 
 
According to the CISA's previous figures, in mid-July this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.8077 million mt, down 0.37 percent from early July (July 1-10).

Meanwhile, as of July 31, 2014, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 14.8037 million mt, decreasing by 4.9 percent as compared to the figure recorded on July 20.
