Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has announced that it has shipped the first 10,000 mt of large diameter (LD) steel pipes for Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom's Power of Siberia pipeline project.

The pipes with a diameter of 1,420 mm and a wall thickness of 21.7 mm produced at Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant are made of steel sheet grades produced by major Russian steelmakers MMK and Severstal.

The total shipments for the project will amount to more than 30,000 mt, the rest of which will be shipped in September-October this year.
