Chongqing Steel’s plate output increases in April

Chinese steel producer Chongqing Iron and Steel Co. (Chongqing Steel) has announced that its steel plate division exceeded its output target for April as its 2,700 mm plate line was operating at full capacity. Accordingly, in April Chongqing Steel's total output of steel plate reached 225,268 mt, including 83,254 mt produced by the 2,700 mm plate line.
 
Production had been suspended at Chongqing Steel's 2,700 mm plate line in February 2011. The line was put back into operation in a new location in June 2011. In November of the same year, the output of the 2,700 mm plate line totaled 66,765mt.
