Chinese shipbuilding firms see increased output value in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period this year, 88 medium-size and large shipbuilding enterprises in China realized an aggregate gross industrial output value of RMB 310.0 billion ($48.7 billion), up 4.3 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI).
 
In the given period, the shipbuilding enterprises in question achieved aggregate exports totaling RMB 124.0 billion ($19.5 billion) in value, down 2.2 percent year on year.
 
In the January-September period, the shipbuilding enterprises saw an aggregate operating revenue of RMB 220.0 billion ($34.6 billion), up 3.1percent, and a total gross profit of RMB 3.3 billion ($0.52 billion), down 13.1 percent year on year.
