Chinese ship export value exceeds $32 billion in first three quarters

According to the data provided by Chinese customs, in January-September this year Chinese exports of ships increased by 8.92 percent year on year in value to $32.07 billion, while the Chinese ship import value totaled $1.47 billion, up 9.01 percent year on year.
 
In September alone, the ship export value of China amounted to $3.83 billion, increasing by 20.58 percent year on year and by $640 million month on month, while the ship import value was $170 million, up 123.16 percent year on year and $22 million month on month.
 
Asia and Europe are the main markets for Chinese ship exports. In January-September this year, Chinese ship exports to the Asian market were valued at $15.82 billion, increasing by 18.53 percent year on year, while exports to the European market were valued at $7.28 billion, down 11.35 percent year on year.
