Chinese mills' common medium plate output up 1.66% in August from July

In August this year, the average aggregate common medium plate and extra-thick steel plate outputs of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - amounted to 3.8684 million mt and 544,700 mt, rising byup 1.66 percent and rising by by 10.44 percent month on month, respectively, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In the given month, CISA member steel enterprises produced 2.1135 million mt of hot rolled strip and 3.1371 million mt of cold rolled strip, up 11.78 percent and rising by 20.34 percent month on month, respectively.
