Chinese large-scale industrial enterprises see 28.2 percent growth in profit in Jan-Aug

During the first eight months, the large-scale industrial enterprises in China including all domestic state-owned enterprises and the private enterprises with the annual turnover of above RMB 5 million ($785,000) achieved a total net profit of RMB 3.23 trillion ($507 billion), up 28.2 percent year on year.

Among all the 39 sectors in China, 38 sectors increased their net profits. Specifically, the ferrous metal mining sector indicated an increase of 54.5 percent in its profit in Jan-Aug period, while the oil and natural gas sector saw an increase of 36.3 percent in its profit, both compared to the same period of 2010.

During the given period, the main business revenue of those enterprises rose by 29.9 percent year on year to RMB 53.12 trillion ($8.34 trillion)
