Chinese Angang upgrades its wide heavy plate line

Chinese mill Angang has decided to upgrade its wide heavy plate line at its steel mill in Liaoning, northern China. The production is scheduled to initiate on September 8, 2003. After this renovation, the annual capacity will increase to 1.3 million tons. In addition, the main equipment and automated control system will be provided by Voest Alpine Industrieanlagenbau (VAI) of Austrai.
