China’s steel scrap imports up 42.4 percent in January-April

In April this year, China’s steel scrap imports amounted to 220,000 mt, up 10,000 mt month on month and increasing by 11.7 percent year on year, while the steel scrap import volume in the January-April period totaled 910,000 mt, up 42.4 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
