China's steel exports decline in October, up 34.8 percent in Jan-Oct

In October this year, China’s finished steel exports declined by 1.54 percent on month to 7.939 million mt, while indicating a strong rise of 53.26 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC) on November 7.

China's finished steel exports amounted to 74.732 million mt in the January-October period this year, increasing by 34.8 percent year on year.

In October, China’s finished steel imports totaled 668,000 mt, increasing by 4.4 percent month on month, while down 13.25 percent year on year. In the first ten months of the year, China imported 6.366 million mt of finished steel, declining by 30.1 percent year on year.
