China’s stainless steel imports decline by 34.14 percent in March

In March this year, China imported 123,300 mt of stainless steel products, down 34.14 percent month on month, while declining by 48.61 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. China exported 349,400 mt of stainless steel in March, down 7.99 percent year on year, while falling by 38.15 percent month on month, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In March, China’s net export volume of stainless steel amounted to 226,100 mt, up 244.32 percent month on month, while rising by 6.17 percent year on year.  

In the given month, China’s stainless steel scrap imports totaled 38,899.115 mt, up 13.42 percent month on month, while increasing by 34,816.601 mt or 852.82 percent year on year.
