China’s scrap imports up 36.5 percent in January-May

In May this year, China imported 210,000 mt of steel scrap, up 16.0 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-May period this year, China imported 1.13 million mt of scrap, rising by 36.5 percent year on year.
