China’s scrap imports in the first half
With 847'000 tons in June, China's total scrap steel imports reached 5.04 million tons and $1.26 billion trade value through the first half of 2005. Through the first six months, the US accounted for 23% of China's scrap imports with 1.17 million tons. Kazakhstan (1.06 million tons), Japan (974'800 tons) and Russian Federation (501'400 tons) were other major scrap exporters to China.China's scrap imports in the first half
