China’s rebar output decreases by 3.4 percent in first quarter

In March this year, China's outputs of rebar and steel bars amounted to 17.10 million mt and 6.416 million mt, down 1.0 percent and 5.8 percent year on year, respectively, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-March period of the current year, China's rebar and steel bar outputs totaled 48.006 million mt and 17.478 million mt, decreasing by 3.4 percent and 6.1 percent year on year, respectively.
