In June this year, China produced 65,000 new energy vehicles, up 43.4 percent year on year, including 54,000 pure electric passenger cars and 11,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 52.9 percent and 10.1 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-June period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 212,000 units, up 19.7 percent on year-on-year basis, including 175,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 30.4 percent, and 37,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, down 14.4 percent year on year, respectively.
