In July this year, China produced 38,000 new energy vehicles, up 93.4 percent year on year, including 27,000 pure electric passenger cars and 11,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 127.0 percent and 144.2 percent year on year, respectively, according to latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
In the January-July period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 215,000 units, up 119.8 percent on year-on-year basis, including 162,000 pure electric passenger cars and 54,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 156.4 percent and 53.7 percent year on year, respectively.
