In March this year, China produced 33,015 new energy vehicles, up 30.9 percent year on year, including 26,685 pure electric passenger cars and 6,330 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 41.8 percent and down 1.1 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-March period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 58,317 units, down 7.7 percent on year-on-year basis, including 47,988 pure electric passenger cars and 10,329 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 2.9 percent and down 37.5 percent year on year, respectively.
