China’s medium plate exports down 62 percent in Jan-Nov

According to the latest customs statistics, China's medium plate exports in November reached 324,300 mt, down 15,000 mt or 4.43 percent year on year, totaling $191 million in value, down $237 million or 55.36 percent compared with the same period last year. The average export price was $588.68/mt. Total January-November exports reached 2.87 million mt, down 4.66 million mt or 61.94 percent, amounting to a total value of $2.04 billion, down $5.67 billion or 73.59 percent year on year.

Medium plate imports in November stood at 78,500 mt, down 17,400 mt or 18.17 percent year on year, totaling $96 million, down $72 million or 42.8 percent compared with the same month last year. The average import price was $1,223/mt. Total January-November medium plate imports came to 1.1 million mt, down 72,700 mt or 6.23 percent, amounting to $1.51 billion in value, down $396 million or 20.74 percent year on year.
