China's long product exports to ASEAN countries up 54% in Jan-Nov

According to a report released by the South East Asia Iron and Steel Institute (SEAISI), in the first 11 months of 2013 China's long steel product exports to ASEAN countries, mainly consisting of bars, wire rods and sections, increased by 54 percent year on year to 7.2 million metric tons.
 
In given period, China's section exports to ASEAN countries saw an increase of 29 percent year on year to 1.3 million metric tons. Exports of carbon sections increased by 38 percent to 150,000 mt, while exports of alloy sections rose by 28 percent to 1.1 million metric tons, both on year-on-year basis.
 
In the first 11 months of 2013, steel bar exports from China to ASEAN countries saw an increase of 64 percent to 2.57 million metric tons, while wire rod exports rose by 59 percent to 3.3 million metric tons, both compared with the same period of 2012.
