China’s iron ore imports up 13.8 percent in 2014

In 2014, China imported 932.55 million mt of iron ore, up 13.8 percent year on year, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. In December this year, China imported 86.85 million mt of iron ore, up 18.4 percent year on year, while rising by 28.86 percent month on month, with the average import price at $75.61/mt, decreasing by 5.10 percent month on month.
