China’s iron ore imports down 0.9 percent in January-February

China imported 67.94 million mt of iron ore in February this year, decreasing by 13.53 percent month on month, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities on March 8. In the January-February period of the current year, China imported 146.56 million mt of iron ore, down 0.9 percent year on year.

In February, China imported 0.87 million mt of finished steel, decreasing by 24.35 percent month on month. In the January-February period, China imported 2.03 million mt of finished steel, down 13.3 percent year on year.
