China’s import tax on coking coal and coke to remain at zero in 2010

On December 17, China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that the import tax rate on resource products including coal will remain at a low level, i.e., at zero.

The Interim Tax Rate Schedule for Imported Commodities issued by the MOF indicates that next year's interim tax rate for anthracite, coking coal, other soft coal and coke remains zero.
