China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.0 percent to RMB 14.0667 trillion ($2.3 trillion) in the first quarter of the current year, as announced by
China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on April 15.
In the first quarter,
China's domestic primary, secondary and tertiary industries respectively contributed RMB 777 billion ($125 billion), RMB 6.0292 trillion ($0.97 trillion) and RMB 7.2605 trillion ($1.17 trillion) to the country's GDP, up 3.2 percent, 6.4 percent and 7.9 percent respectively on year-on-year basis. In the first quarter of the current year,
China's GDP increased by 1.3 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2014.
