China’s foreign trade value up 12.3 percent in January-July

In July this year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $340.555 billion, indicating a year-on-year rise of 8.8 percent, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the given month, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $193.646 billion, increasing by 7.2 percent year on year, while Chinese imports totaled $146.909 billion in value, rising by 11.0 percent year on year, resulting in a trade surplus of $46.736 billion.

In the January-July period of the current year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $2.24993 trillion, up 12.3 percent year on year. In the given period, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $1.240806 trillion, up 8.3 percent, while the value of its imports rose by 17.7 percent year on year to $1.009124 trillion, resulting in a trade surplus of $231.682 billion in the given period.
