China’s finished steel exports up 13.6 percent in Jan-Oct

In October of the current year, China's finished steel exports amounted to 5.07 million mt, up 150,000 mt month on month and up 230,000 mt year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on November 9. China did not export any semi-finished steel in October.
In the January-October period of the current year, China exported 51.97 million mt of finished steel, up 13.6 percent or 6.19 million mt year on year. In the given period, the total value of the exported finished steel amounted to $44.389 billion, up 3.3 percent year on year.

In October, China's exports of coke and semi-coke amounted to 0.52 million mt, while the total coke and semi-coke export volume in the January-October period was 3.24 million mt, up 257 percent year on year, stimulated by China's removal of export tariffs on coke in 2013.
