China’s daily crude steel output declines in late December

According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in late December (Dec. 21-31) of last year the average daily crude steel output of its member companies stood at 1.45 million mt, down 3.87 percent compared to mid-December (Dec. 11-20).

During the late December period, the overall average daily crude steel output in China was 1.63 million mt, declining by 2.38 percent from mid-December, as per CISA estimates. For the whole month of December, China's overall average daily crude steel output came to 1.65 million mt, down 0.5 percent from 1.66 million mt in November.
