In March this year, China's coke output amounted to 37.99 million mt, down 1.4 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the first quarter of the year, China's coke output amounted to 112.52 million mt, decreasing by 2.0 percent year on year.

Due to environmental protection measures and slack demand in the first quarter, demand in the domestic coke market continued to be sluggish, resulting in declines seen in coke prices. Accordingly, some coking producers in certain regions of China halted their production, contributing to the decrease in coke output during the given period.
