China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced that in June of the current year coal shipments by Chinese railways amounted to 185 million mt, up 0.8 percent year on year, while in the January-June period shipments totaled 1.15 billion mt, up 0.7 percent year on year.
In the first six months, the railway line from Datong, Shanxi Province to Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province transported 225 million mt of coal, up 2.3 percent, while the railway line from Houma, Shanxi to Yueshan, Henan transported 90 million mt of coal, up two percent, both year on year.
