China’s coal output and sales increase during April 1-20

Coal production, sales and transportation of major coal enterprises in China in the April 1-20 period this year were higher on year-on-year basis, while demand from downstream users was slack, as announced by the China Coal Transportation and Distribution Association. Meanwhile, in the April 1-20 period, coal supply indicated some decreases compared to the same period in March.

At the same time, inventory levels of coal at steelmakers and coking plants decreased. In the given period, coal prices in the overseas market and in the Chinese domestic market indicated an overall downward trend.
