China’s coal imports up 15.62 percent in March

In March this year, China’s coal imports amounted to 19.69 million mt, up 15.62 percent, while its coal exports surged by 296.9 percent to 1.27 million mt, both year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. 

In the January-March period this year, China’s coal imports amounted to 48.46 million mt, down 1.2 percent, while its coal exports increased by 184.7 percent to 2.79 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
