China’s coal imports increase by 23.5 percent in H1

In June this year, China’s coal imports totaled 21.60 million mt, down 0.69 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the first half of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 133.26 million mt, rising by 23.5 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, China exported 730,000 mt coal in June, increasing by 84.5 percent, while it exported 5.38 million mt in the January-June period, up 15.1 percent, both year on year.
